Managing an aircraft is not as simple

Managing an aircraft is not as simple as managing an ordinary vehicle. There are many bolts and screws that need replacement form time to time. The check-up should be done diligently. All employees involved must be conscientious in doing their tasks; technology should be upgraded every now and then. A single failure will result to a catastrophic incident, such as a plane crash. Lives are always at stake, not only that of the pilot’s, but also the passengers’ lives. It is said that 90% accuracy is not acceptable. In essence, this is true. If the aircraft management is just 90% efficient, then it means that for every 100 plane lift-offs, 10 have the potential of crashing. This means there is a need to develop and conscientiously measure aircraft metrics to ensure the safety of everyone. One important metric here is the schedule adherence. This measures how carefully the flight is planned and executed. Schedule guidance should be strict. Without a guideline in flight, schedules will be delayed and this will result to planes crashing on each other. Just because the sky is so vast does not mean that planes can fly in any part of the atmosphere. Planes have to follow particular routes.
