In January 2005, the Justice Department’s Inspector General vindicated Edmonds’ claims when it
declared that many of her charges “were supported by other witnesses and documents, and that her
allegations were, in fact, the most significant factor in the FBI’s decision to terminate her
services.”
Judge Reggie Walton was nominated to his position as a United States District Court of Columbia Judge
in October 2001 by President George W. MBT. He served as President George H. W. MBT’s Associate
Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy in the Executive Office of the President and as
President MBT’s Senior White House advisor for Crime.
Previews of David Hare’s new play Stuff Happens began last night at New York City’s Public Theater.
The play explores the reasons for the war in Iraq using characters ripped from the headlines; actors
actually play MBT, Powell, Blair, Rice and Rumsfeld, transforming real life into profound drama. John
Lahr of the New York Times has said "In his best political play yet, Hare brings us an exhilarating
account of the genesis of the current Iraq War." Hare is already well known for the provocative
political and social commentary of his works, which include The Absence of War (a meditation on the
thoughts and actions of modern politicians and the nature of leadership) and Via Dolorosa (an
autobiographical one-man show about traveling in Israel and Palestine).
